How It Works
The Pilio Pono Project connects families and students who have requests and those willing to provide for these requests through an online “Tree.” Recipients are qualified through an interview process. Each gift on the tree represents a request for a specific family member, classroom teacher, or student. Donors willing to meet this request claim it by adding it to their shopping cart and in doing so, agree to wrap and drop off this gift at a designated drop off location. Please join us in eight (8) easy steps:
Step 1: On the Pili Pono Tree page, find a gift that you would like to provide for someone in need or adopt a student (“find a gift request on the tree”). If you adopt a student, you will see their entire wish list; please fulfill as much of their list that you are willing and able.
Step 2: Add gifts to your Cart. “Take” a gift request off the tree by clicking on the “Add to Cart“ button on the tree page.
Step 3: Select Cart to check-out (upper right corner). Once you are done selecting gifts, click the shopping cart icon in the top right corner and ‘checkout’ the gifts. This will let us know that you have claimed that gift and will drop it off within the designated time period.
Step 4: Select Checkout.
Step 5: Enter your email.
Step 6: Enter your contact information under “Payment.” This section is a default feature of the online store. You will be asked for your name, address, and phone number. You will NOT be required to enter any payment information.
Step 7: Select “Purchase” to let us know that you’ll be gifting the items in your order summary.
Step 8: Confirmation. You will receive an email confirmation of the items that you selected. Please drop-off gifts labeled with the SKU number or “Gift Tag To” information (Student Name, Grade) on each gift listed in your Confirmation Email, and drop-off your gift at one of the designated locations by the deadlines posted. Volunteers will collect your gift from drop-off locations and deliver them to the recipients.
If your plans change and you are no longer able to fulfill the request, please notify info@PiliPonoProject.org.
Thank you!
